Where do they get the energy? Christmas Cookies?

Our girls have a lot of energy, it's a wonder they don't hurt themselves.  Well...sometimes they do.

One day, Annie and Dad took a trip to the park.  It was a warm sunny December day.  Part of the reason for posting the video is just so you can see some of the park.  While at the park, someone handed Annie a package of dried plums.  Since they have the pit inside, its necessary to spit the pit out.  Annie was reluctant at first.  Warning:  This video might seem terribly boring to you unless you are actually a parent or a grandparent to the little girl named Annie.

This was taken a couple weeks before we set up our tree.  Listen at the end, Ellie finally realizes that all this dancing is hurting her belly, says "oh my tummy!"

Grandma sent this wild monkey in a package.  Yay packages!

this video was Thanksgiving morning.

Towards the end of the video, Annie shows us where the "owl" lives.  One day she heard the police sirens from the living room window, and she was convinced it was an owl to this day.

orphans put on a show (teletubbies?)

In effort to say thank you to an organization that gives towards the orphanage, the orphans put on a dance show.  Those are really supposed to be teletubbies.  Really weird, I know, but still cute.

from our house to papa johns

My goal was just to give a taste of travelling over here.  In this video, Ellie and I are on our bike on our way to Papa Johns.  We go there about 1 time a month just to have a taste of good pizza.  Mom and Annie are following behind us.  The whole trip is about 15 minutes, so I sped it up so it isn't so boring!  It may give you a headache though.

Ellie learns a new word

Based on a bad experience in the bathroom, Ellie learned a new word.  First she made a little song about it, then taught Annie the new song.

New TV

Kristen and I have been married over 8 years.  We have never owned a TV until now.  Of course, it doesn't actually get any channels. Our house does not have any cable.  It is just for watching dvds. The first show we watched?  Kai-Lan.  It is a Chinese version of Dora.  Instead of learning Spanish, Kai-lan teaches you Chinese. Our kids Love the show!

getting over jet-lag is a run-down-their-energy situation

To be successfully over jet-lag, everyone should be sleeping or awake at the proper times.  You can't always force your kids to fall asleep when they don't want to.  But you CAN wear them down so that they will fall asleep out of sheer exhaustion.  We found a good game to play that works pretty well.

Unpacking our boxes means that the kids have new toys to play with!
